Our
Story

Lisa Crawford & James Brett

We’re Lisa and James, partners in life and co-founders of Oasis Within. At the heart of our work is a shared devotion to creating spaces where people can slow down, feel safe, and reconnect with themselves, especially during times of change, uncertainty, or deep inner questioning.

Our facilitation is grounded in lived experience as much as professional training. We both know what it means to navigate complex family dynamics, relational rupture, illness, grief, and profound life transitions. Rather than bypassing these experiences, we have each committed to understanding how they shape the body, the nervous system, and the way we relate, and to transforming them into sources of wisdom, compassion, and choice.

James Brett — Coach | Facilitator | Clarity Catalyst | Qi Gong & Nei Gong Practitioner | Gene Keys Guide | Gong Fu Tea Practitioner

My work creates space to slow down and get honest.

Not to withdraw from life, but to meet it more clearly. When there is room to pause, clarity tends to follow.

I work with people who carry a lot. Leaders, creatives, partners, and those in transition. Capable, thoughtful people who are tired of pushing or overthinking and sense something needs to shift.

I do not rush or try to fix. I listen, ask simple questions, and help bring attention to what is actually happening. From there, decisions become clearer and direction feels more grounded.

Whether one to one, with couples, or in retreat settings, the focus is the same. Steady space and presence to listen to yourself, speak honestly, and reconnect with what matters.

Lisa Crawford — Coach | Somatic Facilitator | Integrated Human Design & Gene Keys Guide

Lisa’s work is deeply embodied, relational, and intuitive. Over the past decade, she has trained across a wide range of disciplines that inform how she holds space, including multiple yoga lineages, somatic and nervous system awareness, conscious relationship work, and integrative frameworks such as Human Design.

Her background weaves together movement, breath, nervous system intelligence, and relational presence. She has trained extensively in Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative, Anukalana-inspired Hatha, Sattva Yoga, and Calligraphy Health, alongside deep immersion in the Hendricks lineage through Evolutionary Playground and Advanced Conscious Loving. She continues to refine her facilitation through ceremonial, earth-based, and contemplative pathways, and is currently studying internal cultivation practices through Damo Mitchell’s Internal Arts Academy as is James.

What distinguishes Lisa’s facilitation is not any single modality, but her capacity to read the room, attune to subtle shifts, and guide people back into a felt sense of safety, agency, and embodiment. Her presence is steady, warm, and perceptive, supporting individuals and groups to reconnect with their bodies, emotions, and inner knowing in a way that feels grounded, relational, and alive.

Together: A Balanced & Supportive Team

Together, we hold a balanced and intentional field that blends structure and softness, reflection and vitality, stillness and movement. Our work is not about fixing or forcing transformation. It is about creating the conditions where insight can arise, where the body is listened to, and where new possibilities can emerge naturally.

At Oasis Within, our retreats and experiences are invitations to slow down, breathe, feel, and come home to yourself. We honour the courage it takes to meet life honestly, and we hold space with integrity, care, and deep presence.

Whether you’re seeking clarity, renewal, healing, or simply space to rest, you’ll be met exactly where you are.
